About/Introduction

facebook 5 valley cats5 Valley Cat Rescue was founded in 2002 by 6 friends to address the welfare of farm, feral, old, disabled and stray cats in and around the Stroud Valleys. In 2003 we became a registered charity. There is now a committee of 4, and we have around 20 volunteers and a membership scheme with 140 members. We rely entirely on fundraising and donations to run the charity. We are based in Stroud, Gloucestershire and cover the surrounding areas such as Stonehouse, Cirencester and Dursley.

    Our aims are to:
  • Rescue abandoned, injured and homeless cats & kittens, providing veterinary care, food and accommodation as necessary
  • Rehome healthy animals wherever possible
  • Trap, neuter and return feral cats
  • Educate the public in feline welfare (in particular the neutering of cats)
